High C/P ratio on using Taiwanese Machinery
In 2009, the production value of Taiwan machine tool was ranked the No. 6th, and the export value was ranked the No. 4th in the world, Every year more than 40,000 CNC (computerized numerically controlled) machine tools were sold worldwide yearly, Buyers and suppliers from around the world can easily get the full picture of the Taiwan machine tool industry by visiting Taiwan. Any delicate parts and accessories of the machine tools can be found quickly within 50 kilometers from the “Taiwan International Machine Tool Show” TMTS show venue.
Although the scale of parts’ manufacturers in Taiwan are relatively small and less known compared to the major international brands, yet appreciates the support of the machine tool manufacturers in Taiwan, and the technical innovation capability in design and R&D, the cost of manufacturing machine tool is getting lower, the machine manufacturers are no longer produce the parts by their own, they start to get the supplies from the local parts makers instead.
Facing the pressure of low price competitors from other area of Asia, many machinery makers who used to produce the parts by themselves , start to use the local made parts in order to reduce the cost for Linear Guides, Spindles, Turrets for Lathe, Chuck, Index Tables and all sorts cutting tools…etc.
In general, the parts manufacturers of Taiwan are providing high C/P ratio by comparably high quality products, yet low price to the machinery industry in the world market, using the parts which made in Taiwan can surely help reducing the cost of production, expanding the market and gaining good profit in long term.
The TMTS will be held on 3rd ~ 7th, Nov. 2010 in Taichung, Taiwan. So far, more than 300 domestic and international exhibitors, more than 1300 booths, 22,950 m2 are booked. The attendants from Taiwan are the picks of machinery industry, lots of big, compound, multi-axle, high-tech machines will be exhibited at the show, and you can see relevant high quality parts and innovation as well. It is certainly a great event for international machinery industry ever happened in Taiwan.
