TMTS 2024 Will Launch an Umati Showcase Partnering with VDW and VDMA

One of the main themes being promoted by this year’s TMTS show is Digital Transformation, which is a unified communication standard crucial to link all automation processes. Therefore, the TMTS 2024 show will be partnering with both the VDW and the VDMA to launch an Umati special showcase section to highlight and present the solutions it offers for building more streamlined communication.

UMATI, named the Universal Machine Technology Interface, is one of the growing OPC UA (open platform communication unified architecture) standards for machine industries. First initiated by the VDW and the VDMA, it is designed specifically to be fitted as machinery’s OPC UA. It is also aimed to be one of the global unified standards for all kinds of manufacturing industries and to assist in realizing a cross platform automated process.
